Oh my God - Lieberman is sounding like a Democrat |
|
He must have figured out that Bushlite isn't working...Say Bush* is the most ineffective president we've ever had. Wanting to do away with tax cuts for the wealthy. And even mentioned 90,000 disenfranchised voters in Florida.
I still don't trust him.

He's talk talk talk about this and that, but his actions are TOTALLY opposite what he says....

9. I don't understand this post |

<<wake me up when he does something more than say what he thinks other people want to hear from him.>>
Lieberman has demonstrated time and time again that he's willing to say things that aren't popular. He spoke out in support of voucher pilot programs before an audience of union members. He spoke out in support of the invasion of Iraq before a solidly anti-war California Democratic conference. Please tell me what other Democrats have been willing to say things that they know will get them booed?
<<He's talk talk talk about this and that, but his actions are TOTALLY opposite what he says....>>
Well, as a Senator, his actions consist primarily of voting. And his voting record is solidly pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-civil rights, and anti-Bush economic policy. He's joined in all the filibusters of right-wing Bush judicial appointees. He voted against the Ashcroft nomination. He's opposed efforts to open up drilling in ANWR. He's voted against the Bush tax cuts.

he said some good stuff tonight....except the Iraq war crap
only thing that bothered me was how he went on about his civil rights activism and support of the AA causes....but Sharpton made a point of saying that not ONE dem stood up for the black caucus's fight on the floor of the house or senate ....or when they walked out after the florida debacle and electorial college vote....where was lieberman then????

12. It's the Dean Factor, I think |
|
Dean has energized supporters because of his outspoken denunciation of the Bush administration -- which I think that most of the others were afraid to do, until they saw how it caught on.
Now they all seem to be trying it -- even Joe! Gee -- in the first debate he went out of his way to say how close he and smirky were on a lot of issues (when His Chimperial Highnesses polls were higher) -- and now he is backing off.
I *respect* all of these candidates -- and will support ANY of them against the smirk. I also am grateful to hear them turn up the pressure on fratboy failure -- better late than never!
But whereas others are adopting this (I suspect) because of how well Dean is playing -- Dean has been saying it all along, as has Graham, Kucinich, Al, Braun -- and I think we can trust their sincerity in genuine opposition to this disastrous administration.
Damn, it is GOOD to hear good people speaking up!

14. Sure, good debate performance, but where was he when |
|
he was chairman of government oversight during Enron and energy policy? Did he think the presidency was up Fred Thompson's ass?
