Trust ...Integrity ...
These words are the key ....

Over the last 2 and years of debate , I have come to the
conclusion that this is all people can come up with to
defend bush.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard

"no that can't be true bush has integrity"

or

"bush wouldn't do that he's a man of integrity"

or

"I don't care I trust bush"

or

"we must trust the president during these perilous times"

The American People's trust has been decieved .

and Finally they are being told about it by someone other
than me . cause I've also heard countless times .

"If that were the case why haven't I seen that on the news "

or

"I'll believe that when I see it , I have to see it to believe it"

I often wonder about those I met, who blind defense of bush
was all bush had in them . Do they remember the encounter
with that patriotic lady opposed to bush ?

Are My words ringing in their ears before they drift off
to sleep at night ?

Like a hypnotic sleep retreating like a nightmare or bad
acid trip Trust , and Integrity are slipping away .

Long ago when I first found DU I made a prediction about these folks.

Those who just trusted , who blindly believed the very carefully
crafted words from bush whom they percieved as a average joe , a mans
man . Those who have been decieved will hold far more anger
towards the bush cabal than those of us who were not fooled .

Trust and Integrity are the 2 words that have held bush up
and they are the 2 words to bring him and his cronnies to their
knees .

1. You might very well be right about the anger.
"Those who have been deceived will hold far more anger
towards the bush cabal than those of us who were not fooled."

People are not happy about the news of young soldiers dying, and the resentment is building as citizens realize it is not because these soldiers are making the world safe for democracy.

Democrats will have an opportunity to seize more than the Whitehouse in 2004. Let's hope that opportunity is not frittered away.

2. What I find fascinating....
They spent 8 years and $70MM trying to convince us that Clinton was dishonest and evil. A microscopic investigation finally trapped him about lying....about sex. What American wouldn't lie to avoid personal and family embarassment about that issue?

So who do these so-called "keepers of our morality" elect? GWB. They couldn't possibly have picked a more undeserving, morally/ethically devoid politician than this guy.

The contrasts in Clinton vs. Bush could not be more pronounced. The results of Clinton's record vs. the Bush years couldn't be more diametrically opposite. But will their moral outrage lead them to demand imvestigation and impeachment? Of course not.....because it would be an indictment on their own Party and the ugly moral relativism that they actually practice.

By the time Bush is banished from public life, the Republicans will never again be taken seriously on their judgement on moral character.

4. Don't Despair
The nun sat by her open window, reading mail from her family. A bill fell from the envelope as she noticed an obviously homeless man on he street below. She tore the card, scribbled "Don't despair" on it, attracted his attention and threw it to him. He waved back at her.

The next day he rang the bell insisting she accept a wad of bills saying only, "Don't Despair" came in against incredible odds." He smiled and walked away.
