where is the outrage, ya i know, another one
Edited on Thu Mar-03-05 01:29 PM by seabeyond
i mean..........where is it. i dont go out much, but this morning had to go to husbands business and answer phones. sittin around reading du. started chat with black employee. goes to church and talked about that. told him how now in my life i am so angry at churches in this area. we went on to talk about the black community is just going to have to raise their voice. we need to hear from them

another employee walked in later. i asked his age. 23. he has been in texas only a year, from calif. told him, just wanted to know because of the draft. he hardly batted an eye. he goes to church with texas girlfriend and talked a bit about religion.

i told him what i am seeing in this nation today, i want to say wake up people. and no one is. i have children that are growing up here. losing rights. old days it was about giving us more rights.

no one is outraged. i feel like i am in a tornado, massive out of control, and outside that circle is calm. i left the business just now thinking all these people just doing there day without a thought to all this. how does one do that. what is that world like.

As far as the Black community, they have been raising their voice since slavery on to the civil rights movement to today, it's the white community that keeps shutting them out.

2. not even blaming black community
i am in the panhandle of texas. as soon as i said this to the man he says, well you are............in the panhandle of texas the way it is. i told him they are shutting up female and black. white male wants to dictate to me and me keep mouth shut. let them take care of me. they have proven over time, they make poor choices for me, they have no right to take care of me. he agrees.

saying, of course it is the white community that shut them up, adn here, they are bad. but we do have a black man running for commissioner, adn this is why i want to jump into black community. there is actually something people can work on. and i want to bring our closet democratic party out in te open. i resent the hell f these republicans, family friends business associates telling me i have to hide

i just cant give up. that is where this feeling came from. many many have.

btw, the democratic party has hidden so much, lol lol i dont know if i will be able to find it

3. It's frustrating, but you are right, we cannot give up
I think many have simply resigned themselves to the whole thing. You know, "you go with the President you have."

It's easier to stick your head in the sand for some I suppose and not think about how so many are suffering here and around the world, thanks to Bush. We need more visibility events, like protests so people cannot so easily forget. The MSM certainly does keep the truth out there.

Sorry I misunderstood your comment about the Black community!
