Check out these numbers... |
|
Sorry if this is common knowledge...
I'm doing some research on rhetoric and I thought you guys might enjoy these numbers. I scanned two nightly "headliners" at both the republican and democrat conventions last year. Both conventions were four nights long, and they both had the "stars" speaking later in the night. So, I ended up looking at 8 speeches per convention.
Searching for the number of times certain keywords, and their variants (ex. 9/11 or september 11), were uttered, here's what I found:
Republican Convention:
Freedom 69 democracy 14 terrorist 41 9/11 - 38 _________
Democratic Convention:
Freedom 16 democracy 6 terrorist 9 9/11 - 12
_____________

as in poppy, president # 41, and freedom 69, well that's got gannon all over it.
This has to be code. 14 must be W's I.Q. or something.

Dude, you're right! Maybe I'll write that in my paper!
"Jeff Gannon, who, to be fair, is not the only hooker to have ever been in close vicinity of the president, must have persuaded speech writers to mention his favorite word 'freedom' 69 times. We all know how much he likes 69."
