1. Are there more people taking the bus in your area?
Or has Bush mandated that bus companies must turn a profit or belly up?

6. No kidding...I can't remember the last time it was under $2.00 here...
Putting ten bucks in the tank just doesn't get very much these days...

5. While we'll see the pinch in a lot of areas
like food prices, I look forward to $3 or $4/gallon prices. Noone else in the world is paying such a ridiculously low price for gas.

Let them rise so all the big SUV drivers with W stickers get hit in the wallet.

7. No competition in my town.
The gas companies here in town seem to all be in-sink. We have had two different prices for the last year and the whole town will change together between $1.89 to $1.99 depending upon the week. I know the place is kind of small, around 40,000 people but I think this is ridiculous.

8. It was $2.05 at the cut rate place in my town
People (conservatives) I talk too keep asking me "If this war is about oil, where is the oil going to?" I keep telling them the oil is still in the ground back in Iraq, limited supply means bigger profits for the producers. Gas is up 30 cents in three weeks and production has not changed. My question to them is "Where is the money going to?"

13. Surprised to hear it is that high in OK. I live in KS and it just under 2
right now (1.98). But OK is almost always a dime cheaper than we are.

14. Price hike this year is a week early & 18 cents more compared to last year
It went up to $1.79 one year ago this Friday. Now its $1.97.

I should have known, the fertility-god-holiday is early this year too.
