Tell Us Something We Don’t Already Know: U.S. Infrastructure Gets a 'D'
A report released today by the American Society of Civil Engineers cites that in the past four years the infrastructure of America has “shown little to no improvement since they were graded an overall D+ in 2001.”

Crowded schools, traffic-choked roads and transit cutbacks are eroding the quality of American life, according to an analysis by civil engineers that gave the nation’s infrastructure an overall grade of D.

“Americans are spending more time stuck in traffic and less time at home with their families,” William Henry, the group’s president, said in a statement. “We need to establish a comprehensive, long-term infrastructure plan as opposed to our current ‘patch and pray’ method to ensure a better quality of life for everyone.”

3. It's the natural outcome of our system

Deregulation, privatization, government corruption, no checks and balances, etc. will turn the U.S. into a figurative dustbowl.

Added: Not that I think we have no alternative, but we need to do something to stop what's happening. I would suggest that as the consumers we do have the power here.
