Does anyone remember the Dan Rather/HW Bush face off |
|
when Poppy was running for President? Dan pointedly asked him what he knew of Iran/Contra and HW got all huffy and said that wasn't why he agreed to an interview and to stop it already. Dan never got an interview with the WH after that while Poppy was in office.
The TANG papers make me think he was set up by a very vindictive George, Jr.. Remember when * said he was going after Saddam because he tried to murder George, Sr.? This makes me think bringing down Dan Rather was planned for a while and they waited until the time was ripe. They are very patient about waiting. I wonder if there are other paybacks in *'s gunsights in the next few years?

He's the only one in the media who has guts. I'm going to miss him.

4. And remember Rather's "burning tire" comments? |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 08:43 PM by Kurovski
He spoke of how journalists in America under Bush & Co. are now singled out in a variety of ways when they are not heedful of the wishes of the Government.
The comments were made a couple of years ago.
He made an analogy to how in Apartied Africa reporters had a burning tire placed around their neck for printing stories unmindful of the Government's wishes.
The Bush White House: filthiest, most immoral, anti-Democracy and un-American ever.

rather could have, had he wanted to, upset the bushinc applecart many times, but never did....he was almost certainly an agent of the uberdwarfs....... and the 'tang' thing actually protected geeb (bush family nikname for junior, a variation on john ellis bush's nik 'jeb') from some real serious exposure during lead up to election...with rather's help, the bush dinks turned a problem into a good thing...jeez, you all saw it happen...yet you look kindly upon dan 'kenneth, whatta da frequency' rather?! btw saddam never tried to murder oldbush cleita....that's bushevik bs...just the fact you've heard of it means it's a fabrication x(

7. Dubya is well chronicled on tape on all newscasts as saying |
|
that Saddam tried to murder his father. I don't remember his exact words but this is what he said. I wasn't saying it was true. I was saying that Dubya thought so and that's why he went after him. Dubya seems to like to get revenge on his dad's enemies whether it's justified or not, although I never have considered eye for an eye vengeance myself as justified.
For god's sake, Dan is a liberal and the last one that was left on national news. He was also a genuine journalist and reporter. On his biography he recounts how he was even told that he was a great reporter but didn't have what it took to be an anchor.
