Lieberman, you voted for cloture. Very clever, enough for me anyway abut not for BlueBear!
On edit: A mistaken thank you to the tricky Lieberman erased thanks to a heads up from BlueBear!

21. I don't know. He voted for almost all the Dem amendments |
|
and against the bill itself. How does cloture balance against those votes.
Who voted against cloture?

23. Well, against cloture=no filibuster. Kills a chance to stop the bill ... |
|
...knowing that he can vote against it and still get credit with the $$$'s boys; why, because they know cloture was the vote and his no vote was just for, a hmm, "domestic consumption" in CT. It's an old Washington trick. People like Bluebear, who research before they pop off (unlike me), catch these things and keep optimists like me under control.

I don't like that Biden etc. voted for the bill, but the Repbulican Party is worse.

12. I'm hoping it comes back to haunt them. |
|
Their constituents will also be hurt by this. I don't think it's going to be the cakewalk they are expecting. The same applies to the Dem's who voted yes.

3. He voted No. Surprise, But he also voted against all the amendments |
|
which took the usefulness out of his vote. He knew it would then easily pass the repuke majority!

...bill then, so the bill essentially was forced through for a premature vote because the minority was not allowed to be fully heard. Crap!

10. Lieberman voted for Cloture |
|
Which is much worse than those that voted for the bill. The bill would have passed with our without the Democrats. The 13 democrats that voted to let the bill get an up or down boat are the ones that are really to blame. That includes Lieberman.
He makes the credit card companies happy by voting for cloture while thinking his no on passage will please the base. We aren't stupid Joementum. We will remember the cloture vote!!
