Email Update on Elizabeth Edwards |
|
Not sure if anyone has already posted this on here, and I'm sure many of you received it as well, but for those who haven't, here is the text of an email from former Senator John Edwards regarding Elizabeth Edward's lumpectomy. God bless them!
Dear Friend,
I wanted you to know that on Monday, Elizabeth had a lumpectomy to remove the cancer from her breast. She is resting comfortably and our doctors believe that the surgery was a success. We are so grateful to all of the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for their work on her surgery and everyone at Georgetown University Hospital for getting Elizabeth through her chemotherapy treatment. They took such great care of us during a very difficult time.
The prognosis continues to be very positive. Each step in Elizabeth's treatment proves that she is a fighter and that she is going to beat this.
Since the day we learned about the cancer, we have felt your prayers and good wishes. Every note, every email, every kind word we have received has held us up and given us strength. And we are blessed to be surrounded by a loving family, supportive friends, and the best health care in the world. I want to especially thank all of you who actively participate in the One America Blog. Your kind posts and concerns have truly helped us through these trying times.
Elizabeth, the kids and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your well wishes and prayers.
Your friend,
John

Wow, do you realize how long it's been since I've seen/heard that expression? Very great, and we desperately need more people who fall into that category.

I think I got it but haven't read it yet. But this is lovely, and I know it's coming to us from both Mr. and Mrs. Edwards as heartfelt thanks. That feels good! Perhaps we can get another support thread going for Mrs. Edwards.

I had been thinking of Mrs. Edwards a lot as my mom had the same kind of cancer and surgery.
It's good to hear this news. Thanks for sharing. :)

20. I wonder why they waited so long? |
|
If this was diagosed in November, you would think they would be doing the surgery right away. Interesting.

I was thinking about the 2 of them yesterday, and their current health challenges. But they are both very optimistic and strong people, so I look for them to fully recover.

Shoot, I might have to knit her something else now. I wonder if she's doing chemo again after the surgery or going into radiation next. Maybe just a shawl . . .

34. Elizabeth, John, We Love you!! Picturing Perfect Dynamic Health for you! |
|
Thank you for taking extra special care of yourself. Please consider looking into juicing, holistic detoxing, and a plant based, vegetarian diet, after your treatments, when your doctor gives the OK. It can really help heal the body, and is a powerful preventative and beautiful way to live. You and your lovely family are in my daily prayers. We Love YOU!!
