So if Biden or a Biden staffer is Gannon's "bottom" then it's blackmail? |
|
The reason that it doesn't come out is because a Dem is implicated?
I mean, this is way worse than Monica, right?
Gannon was a plant, who Rove brought into the White House to run cover and skew the press coverage, knowing that Gannon was boning for hire a Democrat or a Democrat's aide on the sly.
Otherwise, why aren't the Democrats crowing to high heaven about this sex and corruption scandal that should be rocking the White House right now.
Rove is just that conniving, isn't he.
Use a Democrat's weakness to inoculate his crooked mouthpiece in the White House.
That's how I'm looking at it today.
Convince me differently.

11. Given the lack of interest by mainstream media |
|
I can understand why the Dems are letting this all play out online. Gannon seems to be doing a great job of digging that hole he's in deeper.
Where I think the blackmail may be occuring is among the more prominent evangelicals. I can't imagine why else they would be so silent on the subject.
I also think he's got a sugar daddy in the White House. They had to jump through too many hoops to turn him into a "journalist" for this to be a random blunder. They wanted HIM. No generic flack or propagandist would do.
This whole business smells worse every single day, thanks in part to Guckert's continual verbal diarrhea.

5. Looks similar to Koreagate scandal of 70's and the Silent Coup |
|
version of Watergate (bug on hooker's phoneline were the real motive, not bugging O'Brien's office).
Operation Mockingbird/MilitaryPsyOps will never be fully disclosed like in the Church and Pike hearings in the 70's either. But we can try...on blogs, unlike MSM.

9. If the blogosphere is sufficiently formed, maybe. But with Dems against..? |
|
It's been surmised that Rove inoculated Bush against his drug bust and mandatory public service by outing it to J.H. Hatfield, who himself had a criminal record. Then when the allegations make "Fortunate Son" Bush could smear Hatfield and make it seem like the allegations were groundless because they came from a criminal, even though they were true.
Same with Rather. Getting Rather to bite on the faked records inoculated Bush at a crucial time against his AWOL record coming out, even though it was true.
Now you have Gannon skewing mainstream press coverage by fronting for the White House while his real job, screwing "bottoms" gave him cover in the Dem camp because he was boning some prominent Dem or an aide. The real story - the Bush White House so bent on propaganda that they hire a gay hooker as a mouthpiece with no check of his fake name and lack of background, is buried because of blackmail.

27. Correct, dp, and all the while only the GAO now has power to expose |
|
Operation Mockingbird, the payola to local TV affiliates in spreading the message, and MSM's failure to demand reinstatement of the "Fairness" doctrine, despite these obvious FCC problems which would have been clearly labelled as such in the past.
But it all comes down to 'the truth will out' and 'blowback'. Better to play fair domestically; you can get away with it (on national security grounds) overseas.

7. I think you're 'reaching' to connect Biden and Gannon through an |
|
employee of Biden. You may be playing into the hands of the rovians. Consider that they tell Gannon to write a line that drops Biden's name - (or they write it for him).
I am the biggest critic of Biden, but I wouldn't take that bait.

I'm just finding Rove's fingerprints in this pattern of inoculating Bush by putting the facts in a place so dirty that no one dares go and get them.

13. Do you mean the Gannon comment about Biden or the entire Gannon |
|
story.
Fitzgerald is working on the Plame case. Conyers and others are working on the Press Conf case.
Gannon pretty much makes a fool of himself each day through the Freedom of Speech right.
How should the Dems go about making a case about one of Gannons' paragraphs that hints at something about knowing Biden? What he has said is so vague that if questioned he could wiggle-roach himself out of a hermetically sealed plumbing pipe.

12. Because the real story is the Bush Propaganda White House |
|
And that story is being buried because the facts are located in a place where the Democrats are too frightened to go and get them.
I'm just trying to figure out why the Democrats aren't going after the Bush White House for hiring a gay hooker with a fake name and no credentials to skew press coverage.
That's the real story.
Clinton and Lewinsky were two consenting adults.
But the Republicans assassinated Clinton anyway. The Democrats, on the other hand, seem too timid to take on the Bush White House over what should be a huge scandal of misusing the White House Press Corps.
Yet they don't. Why not?

24. A flake the Bush White House tapped |
|
I think the flake angle is an essential angle to this. If Gannon was qualified, he'd only be a partisan. The fact that he was unqualified, and engaging in criminal activity on the side, but given a day-pass for two years straight to avoid the security screening is very telling.

14. NOTHING connects the embezzler to Gannon. |
|
The prostitutes were from Florida.
Nothing connects Biden to Gannon, except Gannon's self-serving, cryptic comment that Biden had forgotten meeting him. Perhaps a handshake in a crowded room.
We don't have a single thing but Gannon's comment. Innuendo from a criminal partisan faker.
And from that you insinuate Biden as Gannon's bottom?!
Geez.
If some connections to the embezzler to Gannon come out, fine. But until then, I think it is playing into the hands of the RW to make assumptions based on nothing but a prostitute poseur who will not provide the most basic standard information on his bio to a radio station (Randi Rhodes). He is playing games, and it looks to me like he won this particular round with you.

17. Delaware is a small state. |
|
Heck, if you go to a Wilmington Blue Rocks game, you stand a chance of sitting next to Biden, Carper, Castle, Minner, Carney, or some big businessman. Been there, done that. It really is THAT small. There are a bazillion places they could have met.
I might be wrong, but I think most Delawareans would overlook the "gay" part of the aide story, but really be ticked about the stolen money. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way most of the people who I spoke with feel.

And that's a lot of money.
I wouldn't be the least surprised if Gannon had met Biden and/or Bozel. I'm sure they travel in similar political/government White House/Capitol Delaware/Washington circles. Maybe even get their morning coffee at the same counter. But it doesn't mean a thing unless shown and proven otherwise.
To take off and run with Gannon's cryptic comment as being meaningful is a fool's game, in my view. If he has something to SAY, he should SAY it. But he is constantly playing the game of NOT filling in any blanks. It is childish attention seeking.

maybe I just wasn't smart enough to think Gannon had dirt on some Democrats and was there to out them--not a Republican.

26. Gannon's cryptic comment probably emanated from his overblown ego. |
|
No pun intended on "overblown."
Gannon is the kind of guy who thinks everyone should remember him, no matter what the occasion. He also believes in the power of osmosis, the transfer of power from one "important" individual who actually wields power to a lesser individual who has very little power. I'm guessing that in his private circle of acquaintances, Gannon is a big-time namedropper. Also, I'm guessing that he is boring as hell.
