How do we reverse the damage NAFTA has done? |
|
In my eyes NAFTA is the one real black mark on Clintons report card. NAFTA has directly lead to a large portion of the manufacturing job losses and I would love to hear ideas on how to fix the problem. With the lack of worker protection and enviromental laws in Mexico and other third world countrys there is no way free trade can be allowed or the middle class manufacturing jobs will continue to leave.

We learn to hack the new reality. We turn NAFTA's changes against the ruling class by becoming part of an international movement. We learn that it is not enough to be have a middle class in the elite countries, when that middle class is premised on the utter destruction of subordinate nations. We see ourselves as a world movement, and give up the privileges that the ruling class bestowed on us in exchange for our nationalistic support.

'cause these kids think that dollar is all the riches in the world. And these big ass fat cats sit up in their $50K chairs watching the stock market on their dedicated channel.
I sometimes think that if all the money from all the fat cats of the world was divided between every man, woman and child of the world, it would only be a dime each maybe. BUT THE FAT CATS WOULDN'T HAVE IT!

Generally speaking, The trade policies of the 90's were poison for our industrial base. Everything from NAFTA to our support and membership of the WTO to sponsoring China's entry to said organization to Rubin's "strong dollar" monetary policies.
