Milton Ristar in TEXAS Lt. Governor's Office linked to GOPUSA
Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 03:07 PM by luaptifer
took a hyperlink and ran with it in a few leaps, from Gannon to the Dir. of Research who should've seen the black hole known as the ethics of Tom Delay.

whole lotta legwork by folks across the leftysphere would seem to lead a little bit closer to where, i'm sure, most of us think the heart of Gannon/Guckert resides.

pitstop in the State of Texas' Executive suite, check it out:

but it's the second link that's much more important, i think! Update <2005-3-16 12:52:8 by luaptifer>:: documenting links, addtional info.

Diaries :: luaptifer's diary

Senate District 5 seems to be composed of 14 counties according to the http://sd5.org site put together by Bill Fairbrother. apparently it was of enough significance that he thought it, too, should bear the Texas GOPUSA logo under the navigation links of the site menu where those 14 counties are linked. if you've clicked that link consider that under intended circumstances, it would stand as one of the two frames that make up the sd5.org homepage.

in fact, the frame design and layout are similar to that of the Williamson County Republican Party site...

<snip>

the significance of this site put together by Bill Fairbrother is that it was established in June 2002 by Milton Rister who listed himself as the registrant, the adminstrative and technical contact!

Who the heck is Milton Rister?!

in the heart of the BU$H dynasty, a steering role in right-wing politics means he's IMPORTANT!!:

"Texas GOP names new director" The Austin American-Statesman reports here that:

The Republican Party of Texas has a new executive director, party chairwoman Tina Benkiser said Thursday.

Milton Rister, research director for Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, has been appointed to the post.

Rister's previous jobs have included political director of the Republican Party of Texas, executive director of the House Republican Caucus, chief of staff to Republican Sen. Jane Nelson of Lewisville, and adviser to hundreds of Republican campaigns, the party said.

he's currently listed as the Director of Research for the Lt. Governor of Texas, and it was his work as a researcher (or neglect thereof?) that put him in line for a subpoena while Texas searched for Tom Delay's missing ethics. should a researcher who missed that ethical black-hole really be director of research for the State of Texas?!

it seems appropriate if you don't want to find black-holes, huh?!

i apparently didn't pimp the story well enough to keep it in front of the folks at dKos but it seems significant enough to me -- TX Executive-level link to Gannon/Guckert -- that i'd request you recommend the diary solely so as to push it back up in the faces of the daily kos masses.

i'm specifically not doing the 'tipjar' comment that folks use to garner 'mojo' for themselves, on dkos, since i only happened upon the link after the work of so many others. but, i'd sure like this to get in front of more eyeballs so if you understand how dkos diaries work, please do recommend it out of the grave.

TIA!
