Watching a Democrat sellout on issues is like watching |
|
a fawn being circled by a pack of wolves.

3. When Dems get control of the House & Senate ... they can get |
|
control over the bills that make it to the floor and not have the bills filled with 15 issues just to cause frustration and confusion amongst Democrats.
Be patient. Reform of the legislature, elections, corporate influence, MBA programs, etc. etc. are all being studied as we speak.

5. Like the democrats have what it takes to win back control of either body! |

:eyes:
If they demonstrate they are unable to hang together, they will surely hang apart.

6. No we just have to be strong and not give up. And teach each other |
|
that pulling down the tent because you are frustrated is exactly what the Rovbots want. Our message is getting out. People from all walks of life are writing and talking about it. The Christians who were used are perhaps beginning to wonder.
They just one the daily drug that is an election. We will not be so easily fooled the next time around. I think people know that Democrats need to be there to stand up to 'massive structural change'. Have heart!

7. I've lost heart and have become extremely pessimistic |

I see further seats being lost in the Senate and the House and I see further erosion of state legislatures and governor's positions to a degree where the neocons will be capable of amending the constitution at will.
Constitutional amendments will come fast and furiously after 2006, altering forever the landscape and framework in which we operate. I suspect dissent will ebcome illegal by 2010 and a new despotic tyranny to become the norm.
I do not see this as "the rise of fascism" or "nazism", or "Stalinism". These "isms" are old news and have long since become non-threatening to the world.
Neo-conservatism is an entirely new evil the likes of which the world has never seen. I'm working on an essay specifically discussing this new rise of a new evil in the world.

8. Yes neocons cut a swath and steal ideas. I have hope because |
|
corporations are dependent on human beings... they like to pretend they are not... but they are. So far we have been asleep. We have not really gotten into the 'details' of what these creeps are up to.
So there as not been an opposition for the neocons - a proper one. Now there is one (many are studying & thinking on it). Even if they try and keep things as vague as possible and use the tools or propagandaists... we are human and we have the power of observation and episodic memory.
I say - have heart.
