Biden described Wolfowitz, currently deputy secretary of defense, as a man with an "active and fertile mind" who believes in the work of multilateral institutions. Asked for his reaction to the selection, Biden responded with one word: "Solid." http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/005/363ubjiw.asp

Is Biden really a democrat? Is he turning into a neocon? What's he getting out of this? I think he's turning into the neocon and not-so much Liberman. I think Bush kissed the wrong guy maybe.

11. What Were You Expecting Until Democrats Control The House |
|
This regime will cherry pick it's "favorite Democrats" on issue after issue and pit one against the other (congrats to all the DU'ers who have been trashing Democrats lately, Karl Rove appreciates all your hard work) to force them along for face being embarassed or their own little bits of pork removed.
They targeted Biden and Carper on the Bankruptcy bill since most of the largest banks "reside" in Deleware, or Mary Landrieu on ANWAR, since she's from a heavy petroleum state and we'll see Ben Nelson surely targeted in the future as well as any Democrat this regime sees as vulnerable.
This is gonna go on and on as long as Democrats are in the minority. Except to beg across the aisle for a Lincoln Chaffee or Susan Collins to vote along, there's little the Democrats can do in the Senate to stop any bills the GOOP wants to go through and it's even worse in the House.
If you're pissed...today or tomorrow should be the day you call your local Democratic committee office and see how you can help either elect a Democrat or MORE Democrats to your county and state offices...or to get involved with a Congressional campaign that is organizing...get out and start the very, very, very hard task ahead of trying to unite a party, a country and to do so with 9 fingers tied behind our backs.
If you're not working to elect Democrats in 2006 right now, you're part of the problem!

we should all just shutup and keep quiet about the compromised behavior of the Democratic Party congress-critters.
We wouldn't want to send a message to the country: the Democratic Party stands for working families, for protecting the environment, for a sensible sane energy policy, for cooperation in world affairs rather than irresponsible imperialism. No we wouldn't want to confuse voters with an actual choice. We wouldn't want to pressure our own party members in congress to act like Democrats. No that would be playing into Rove's hand. We should just shut up and take it while they vote for each piece of crap bill that is worse than the last horror show bill they voted for. Oh, and send money and waste our time working our asses off to re-elect these clowns so that they can cozy up to the party in power and retire to those sweet K-street jobs if they play their cards right. See Mr. Daschle for example.
Yeah, good point you make there. I'll stop complaining now.
