Chicago V Dialogue Part I and II was so on the mark in 1972 and 2005
I have been listening to my oldies cuts from yesteryear, and have always loved this tune. Back in 1972, I thought it really captured the moral difference between the "hippie" crowd, and the conservatives and fakers.

For those that have never heard the song, get real and listen to it, but the concept is one voice talks about the pressing issues of the day such as poverty, war, and the environment, asking the other voice to get engaged, and the other voice (Peter Cetera I think) has all of these pat excuses about how things are fine. It is extremely well done.

Fakers were the leeches that hung around the peace movement for the drugs, sex, and rock and roll, but were against the anti-war movement, civil rights, and feminism. They became freepers once they moved out of their parents house. The ones that never got laid turned into bitter freepers like Rush. The ones that never smoked pot or got laid turned into really bitter freepers like Jerry Falwell.

The song rings true today, except on a remix, the freeper voice would do less apologizing for being a freeloading piece of shit, and would attack the questioner for not loving America...

We can make it happen, We can make it happen, YEAH!!!
