human beings by others needlessly"...Delay

I can't stand the unbelievable hypocricy of Delay et al. But let's hope that he will have to eat his words. If he truly stands by the above recent quote, then he should be continually prodded on:

1.) His stance on the death penalty
2.) His support of the current War with needless deaths of innocents
3.) His support of guns and the NRA, which results in needless death
4.) His lack of support for traumatic brain injuries (DU post today)

One of the major ironies in this case is the fact that Schiavo is brain dead because of bulimia with consequent electrolyte imbalances..this was a result of her own actions, and now, they are trying to keep her alive with artificial feeding! Some say that she will be starved to death...but she will actually die by the same cause of death that landed her in her current state... an electrolyte imbalance. Why isn't her responsibility for this stressed? She is dead as a human and has been for years. I can completely sympathize with parents in denial, and wanting to hold on to false beliefs. But I view her parent's decision as cruel and completely selfish. Would I want any loved one of mine to be artificially maintained by forced feeding against their will? I wouldn't wnat my beloved dog to be treated so inhumanely!

1. Question to ask your Con friends, What is more immoral?
A ) Cutting the feeding tube to Terry Schiavo, a woman who has been in a vegatative state for 15 years with no hope of recovery.

or

B ) Supporting Bush's tax cuts & budget which cut money to help the poor as well as his illegal war in Iraq that has killed thousands.

2. I know my response to this question...but I can no longer understand
the schizophrenic madness of the extreme right. Right to Who's Life? and What Life? Why are they keeping her alive when she is already dead? The only thing that would potentially 'save' her now, is something the RWers don't believe in--Stem Cell Research to make possible the regeneration of damaged brain cellls...another hypocrisy!

I'm wondering how Frist, a physician, stands on this one...He's seen the brain scan, and unless he is brain dead also, he has to know there is no hope.
