Edited on Sat Mar-19-05 05:27 PM by leftchick
I know I own of couple a tin foils but even this does not deserve one.
Start going to Yahoo and rate up their war protest stories from around the world. They DID indeed happen today WORLDWIDE. No matter what the repukes and your TV tell you!

An effigy of US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) is seen during an anti-war protest in downtown Sao Paulo for the second anniversary of the U.S.-led invasion on Iraq (news - web sites), Brazil, on Saturday, March 19, 2005. (AP Photo/Alexandre Meneghini)

...please rate the story up!

49. Hey New York, I'm betting those numbers are way low. Hundreds?
There were 1,500 who marched in ONE protest in Minneapolis today. That number was gathered at the intersection of Lyndale/Hennepin by the Gunthrie as the marchers started across and down toward Franklin.

More joined and some went all the way back past the park and over to a church where there were several speakers.

I was running late so me and my best friend chased the marchers around looking for a parking spot so we could jump in and join.

It was awesome and the only police presence was traffic control.

23. I'm also rating DOWN the Schiavo case.

I'm aware it could be precendent-setting, but the protests over the deaths of thousands should take precedence over one precedent-setting case. Did I just set a record for the number of uses of variants of the word "precedence" in one sentence? :D

I'm at a loss, everyone, all of us, everytime we are dumbfounded and we say to ourselves " "they" can't top this one", Bush comes around and tops it again.

How much longer are we all going to wait until we start to scream, Crimes, Treason, Criminals?

I'm ignoring the Schiavo case as much as possible except where political scumbags are trying to make hay with it. Exploiting this family's tragedy is just another sickening example of how far some people are willing to go to further their own agendas.

When Republicans pass around talking points calling the Schiavo case "a great political issue," that it's, "a tough issue for Democrats" and that their "pro-life base will be excited," I want to drop a rock on some politician's miserable slimy head. They are utterly transparent.
