I heard Terri Schiavo's parents' lawyer this morning stating that the miracle they have been waiting for has come in the form of Congress passing a law to "save" Terri. The circus is in town.

I'm not very well versed in the bible and don't intend to reread it, but I SWEAR somewhere (probably in Revelations) there is a statement to the effect that during the 'end times' people who want to die will not be allowed to.

Just another item in their self fulfilling prophesy of the armageddeon they so desire?

4. A distraction or a rally of the base?

I see this as a dog and pony show for the republican base - it gets them all worked up into a religous fervor and depending on how it turns out, will have huge implications concerning abortion.

This morning on CNN, they have people walking around with giant foam forks and spoons with the words "Please Feed Terri" emblazoned on them.



If this thing goes on for more than a week, we are going to over the edge on this one.

7. Exactly, fundies have an inflated self worth and believe the nonsense
