Made up a bunch of neon index cards with the message: 'Today's gas prices brought to you by George W. Bush and his evil Cartel. Enjoy,Suckers!!'
And I have taped those babies to 4 different gas pumps so far this am.They probably won't last very long in my neck of the woods, but it sho' was fun......

7. cool,,,, I made something a little different,,,,,

found a picture of * on the internets,,, turned it into a drawing (photo software), put the word "Liar" underneath, printed them out on lightweight cardstock, cut and voila!! little business card sized "protest signs",,,, they will be left all over town this week, inside & out!!!

I'll make some like yours too =)

I've been doing this for a long time now and have decided if I ever 'get caught' (which I haven't) I will just hold them and say,,,,"Look what I've been finding all over your store, aren't they cool??" =)

In Oregon we don't have self service gas, so I don't know that it would be effective here, but in other parts of the country you certainly would be. Just keep connecting the dots for those too lazy to do it for themselves.}(

I've also heard some people here put small anti-* flyers into magazines at doctors/dentists/car repair/ etc. shop waiting rooms. Leave postcard sized flyers at airports, hotels, etc's galore. Then evnvelope sized ones that stand vertical in brochure stands.
Lots of free newspaper stands in lobbies and store entrances where I'm from.

There's are tons of ways to be heard. Just accept the fact that MSM will Not do it for us. They won't even report on public demonstrations properly. It's the ideas AzDar has that could possibly do something.

It seems condescending. Also, it implies that you have some way of avoiding the gas prices or you are rich enough for the high gas prices to affect you. That reinforces the 'liberal elite' stereotype.

Also, the reader will get pissed off at the author of the card as opposed to Bush and company. They'll think, 'Damn what a prick who put this up.' when they should be thinking 'I voted for that guy, he should be getting me lower gas prices. What's going on here?'.

I appreciate what you are doing, I just would make that little change at the end if I were you.

Stupidity SHOULD be painful. it hurts to be wrong. It hurts to realize you were suckered by an AWOL, cocaine-addicted, alcoholic slacker ( just because he said "Jesus" a few times - damn, i am in the WRONG racket).

Let them be angry at the messenger. That actually helps because they realize that there are many people silently believing they are absolute idiots.

The Right won through intimidation, insult and imagery.
If we intend to win, we need to use the same methods. Unfortunately, browbeating people is modern-day politicking.

Keep the cards as they are. Let them fume. Reality SUCKS.
