Russert ripping on Senate Dems...
He criticized the Republicans for the Shiavo mess, but went ON and ON about how silent the Senate Dems were on the issue.

Didn't mention that some of our Dem Representatives fought like hell in the House last night...just said that the House Dems split 50/50.

So, now it's our fault this piece of shit passed? Russert must have looked at the polls, and decided he needed to shift the discussion to Democrats, stat.

1. You had a moral imperative to stop us from making asses of ourselves...
but did you act? No! So now you're just a guilty as we are.

3. Ya, why was he hitting so hard on the Senate Dems - it was the other side'
that caused the whole debacle. Could it be he expected more from them? Why didn't any of them speak out?

4. It is amazing. The Republicans do disgusting things and they blame
the Democrats for not stopping them when the Republicans control everything.

7. Russert's on the TASS payroll
Fuck him. He's a worthless shill for our neo-Stalinst overlords. Nobody should give a rat's ass about Fat Timmy's opinion on anything. He's a propaganda mouthpiece for the GOP, pure and simple.

Plus five bucks says he takes Drill Sergeant Gannon's eight-inch cut up the poop chute.

10. Russert once said, "Integrity is for paupers"
Does this answer your question as to why he's such a presstitute?

8. I don't like Russert or agree with him or take anything he says seriously
But the argument that just because the vote was initiated by republicans insulates Democrats from their responsibility to stand up against them is ridiculous. Where is the opposition? Half are hiding behind their political nighties, afraid to offend some right-wing fanatics who won't support them no matter what they do. Where do they think they get their support from anyway?!

What happened to the filibuster? What happened to hitting them with a string of amendments to kick their asses into the corner? When we had control of the Senate, republicans never hesitated to stand firm with their obstruction, and we let them succeed in most cases. Look at what they used to do with the minimum wage and voting rights extensions. Now we are on the outside and it appears that some in our party don't have the guts to make a stand as they are too worried about their political viability.

9. He's not the only one . . .
But yes, the whole idea that it's up to the minority party to restrain the political opportunism of the majority party -- especially if such grandstanding lands them in a pile of deep PR doo-doo -- seems . . . disingenuous, shall we say?

No, this mess is 100% of the Republicans' making, and if a lot of people are turned off by their obvious pandering, well that's just too damn bad, Tiny Tim.

11. Gee what a suprise.. Media beating up on people who say nothing,
yet media refuses to let them say anything.. Talk about hubris...

Every time dems are on tv these days, all they get asked is:

will Hillary run?
who will Hillary run with?
why do you elites hate america?
where's YOUR SS plan?

13. I agree with him on this point
He was amazed that no Democrats stood up for the Constitution. The implication was that the Republicans were terribly out of control and trampling on the Con.
