For some reason, I don't think they would play well during the prime time radio hours, but whatever...

Brother Bernie's Sunday morning show, God Talk, is great...Ethics and morality taken to new heights. I've been listening to the program for about twenty years and I'm even a member of the "Church of the Holy Doughnut".

Our church has three simple rules:

1. You have to call to join
2. No quoting scripture - amazing, how many fundies can't paraphrase the words of the bible!
3. No eating croissants on Sunday...Doughnuts are the rule for the day but people of jewish persuasion can eat bagels, and doughnut holes are acceptable for the non-believers. I'm a glazed doughnut disciple, wifey is an Old Fashioned, and our son is a 'sprinkle' (hey, he was conceived during the program...Woohoo, how many people can claim their child was conceived during church service!!!!). :)

7. He delivered an absolutely withering fire against the Republicans

in the opening minutes of his show. His theme was Repubican hypocrisy and how they always denounce activist federal judges who interfere into local State matters. Yet, when it suits them, they run to federal court. He stated that they opposed judicial activism only where it doesn't suit them. He ran off a string of instances where the Republicans had run to the federal court system to thwart the will of the people in case after case, including the medical marijuana initiative in California. I wish I could write as fast as Bernie speaks, because it was worth noting.

15. I enjoy him

When he was sick I did listen to Karel and I enjoyed him. I listened to this one woman filling in for him a few minutes about the SAT testing and all that and was just totally bored. I love how his shows always have something good going on and I love how he gets rightwingers. :D He got two already! I'm off to bed now though since I have to wake up for class in a few hours. Night all!
