Republicans do NOT have the moral high ground
Edited on Tue Mar-22-05 03:20 PM by Batgirl
and I'm sick of hearing them yap about it...the majority in this country doesn't want the State to intervene in personal end-of-life issues, the majority doesn't want the State to intervene in personal beginning-of-life issues, the majority doesn't want the State in our bedrooms, our hospital beds, our reproductive organs, our churches, the majority doesn't the State looting the Treasury to "privatize" Social Security...has there ever been a political party that could gain so much power while espousing positions that the majority of people don't want, has there ever been a political party so skilled at disguising their true, authoritarian intentions of State power over the individual while posing as the party of "small government?" I'm sick of it...and I have it on good authority that Jesus is, too.

2. on the issues, the people are not Republicans
but yet the GOP has the majority of both houses and the presidency.

Yet, when the GOP shows it's true colors, with Social Security, Bankruptcy Bill, religious intervention into government, people reject it wholeheartedly.

Hell, the majority wants to pull out of Iraq asap
