Anybody heard George on the Ray Taliaferro Show?
<p>
There was an interesting call from George (no, not your Moronic figurehead!!), who voted twice for Bush, an ex-Marine, who lambasted the present malAdministration and has made a 180 degree about-face in turning against pResident Bush and his cohorts.

He talked about the total hypocrisy, the fool-hardiness of the war in Iraq, the letting down of the Marines, the absolute shambles about the Social Security promotion and finally gave his sincere opinion about the politicisation of present Terri Schiavo case.

He further said that Republicans in America are turning around, but is this just when many spineless Democrats politicians are falling in line with this moron?

2. Do not discount this trend.
I have a friend who is a crackerjack lawyer and one fart smeller...errm...smart feller. ;-)

He's a small-town lawyer, small-town prosecutor in one town(Former NJ Deputy Attorney General) and municipal attorney in two others. He works with repukes every day, and he is so well-respected by them that when he ran for State Assembly a couple of years ago, they couldn't think of one bad thing to say about him. That's a candidate! ;-)

He says that he is hearing from repukes, all the time, horror and revulsion about what is being done. Real remorse. "I didn't vote for this!" We are talking about some pretty rock-ribbed repukes, too, albeit not frothing fringe fundies.

What it looks like here is the real possibility of some serious gains in the 2006 elections, as more moderate repukes confront their revulsion and vote for a more moderate congress. Is the Senate out of the question? No. Is the House out of the question? Dare I dream?

A lot is going to hinge on DeLay's legal problems. If he gets his dick in the legal woodchipper, it is very unlikely that anyone else has the ability and the balls to hold together his political machine.

3. "I didn't vote for this"- when someone says something like this
I have to bite my tongue because the urge to ridicule,and be derisive of that person is so strong.

I realize that by making that statement that are making baby steps in our direction. But honestly, the urge to say something along the lines of "Then you weren't paying attention" is sooo strong.
