Is the war good for corporate news? |
|
How many people wonder if part of the reason - if not the reason - that major news agencies in the US - with the occasional exception of CBS and AP - do not portray the anti-War movement enough and are biased towards pro-war news and guests?
In other words, how many people think Cable News gets a lot more viewers with a "war" happening, thus more advertising?

NBC is owned by General Electric, a company with many more interests than simply light bulbs and microwaves. GE is a major defense manufacturer, and the easiest way for defense contractors to make money is thought war.
Little wonder then the NBC family was beating the drums of war before Iraq.
