KEY EVENTS IN THE CASE OF THERESA MARIE SCHIAVO
Found this list of all the legal filings in the Terri Schiavo case tonight. It is a very complete list with lots of links. It really demonstrates just how badly the Schindlers have beaten this horse to death to impose their will on Michael and Terri in this tragic event.

I just thought some might be interested in seeing how badly the Schindlers have abused the legal system in this matter.

1. Terri's parents kicked her out!
So the Schindlers do not want to care for Terri.

The money is basically gone for Terri's care, and Michael says he will donate the rest to the hospice.

What the Schindlers want then is for the hospice to care for Terri in their name for however long it takes for Terri to die.

What other intervention will it take to keep her alive.

Air, heart massage?

God knows I wouldn't want to deprive a thinking person of that as long as they want it, but

for this lady without hope of interacting with the world the US is supposed to pay for $80k a year hospice and medicines and doctors?

(Medicaid already pays for her pharmaceutical bills.)

And thanks I was looking for that an internet source of proof that her parents had kicked Terri out.

I had heard it on Randy Rhodes.

And Kudos to Michael for not bringing this up in the current debate.

But he is being smeared for having a loving companion to help him through this terrible time after all he's done.

I'm going to spread these facts around.

2. Michael and Terri's parents all lived together during this time.
if you read further down the time line you will find this....

May 1992
Terri Schiavo’s parents, Robert and Mary Schindler, and Michael Schiavo stop living together.

Further, the Schindlers have said on numerous occasions that they would pay all costs associated with Terri's care if Michael would relinquish guardianship to them. Please put your pitchfork down.

3. I saw that also

Apparently part of the rift came when Michael would not share some of the money he received from one of the settlements in their medical malpractice suit on behalf of Terri.

4. I've heard that as well, but I have a hard time accepting that the
parents were only concerned with getting a hold of the malpractice award for their own personal use as has been suggested. I would think their concern was that Michael was not doing enough in their opinion to help Terri and they could do better. BTW, not passing judgment, just trying to cut through some of the spin that has been out there.

8. Read the 12/03 Guardian Ad Litem Report for further info...
http://www.miami.edu/ethics2/schiavo/timeline.htm

After the malpractice case judgment, evidence of disaffection between the Schindlers and Michael Schiavo openly emerged for the first time. The Schindlers petitioned the court to remove Michael as Guardian. They made allegations that he was not caring for Theresa, and that his behavior was disruptive to Theresa’s treatment and condition.
Proceedings concluded that there was no basis for the removal of Michael as Guardian Further, it was determined that he had been very aggressive and attentive in his care of Theresa.

11. I couldn't say
I never heard anything about what their intent for using the money for was just that there was a dispute over weather or not they should be given some.

However, I have watched these people lie consistently for the last two nights on cable news so they don't impress me as being creditable

7. If Terri were there then fine.
But she isn't.

What I am saying is that along with getting all their litigation bills paid by the right wing extremists, the Schindlers are looking for a free ride.

And, if Terri had in any way an actual functioning cerebral cortex--okay.
