WTF Day 2: More Brain Damaged People in Pinellas not named Terri

Innocent...Spotless...Lamb...Rhubarb...Sparkles...There's a meaning in there somewhere.

Jesus Christ...F*CK YEAH!

Elvis?

Smell it. You know you want to.

Let the Taliban parallels continue.

From the same people who brought you the magical ribbons that support troops.

The Power Pillow compels you!

He just happened to have one of these lying around the house.

Ah, a dignified and solemn protest.

The irony of telling the Bushes to "stop killing" is totally lost on these people.

I'll never get enough of this one.

1. Do these people not work, or....?
You know, as a person who believes in that kind of stuff, I suspect they aren't being motivated by who they think they are.

2. A lot of people get Good Friday off...
...but still, you'd think that such "religious" people would want to spend this holiest of weekends with their families.

5. Yes, even before then...
You're right though, if these were taken on Good Friday....but all week I've been seeing people outside that hospice, or Jeb's house... what's up with that?

And funny captions.

That guy kissing the feet of the Jesus statue (or false idol or whatever they call that)... did he know how close those feet had just come from hundreds of miles of highway? :puke:

to bring Terri water.

Yea, your kid has a record now. That's something to be proud of!

11. Yesterday I saw a dad say how proud he was of his 10-year-old son for
sticking to his guns and trying to bring food or water to Terri. Then a reporter explained that Terri's traveling road show is completely staged and is nothing more than a photo-op.

18. Are you sure the 10 yr old was really arrested?
I do believe this is inexcusable that people take their children to these protests, but I find it a bit hard to believe that the police actually arrested the kids. I suspect they were removed from the scene and sent home.

21. Police could escort a ten-year-old without handcuffs.
They took his fettered ass downtown.

And the parents were glad.

Probably because they didn't have to hire a baby sitter. The state was watching the kid that night.

10. 'scuse me, but isn't praying in public
frowned upon big time in the Book?

Matthew 6:5-7:

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

---------------------

I'm just saying.

12. Isn't that swastika backwards?
Kind of like the sign I saw yesterday where they spelled Terri like "Terry" then crossed out the y and added an "i."

Morans.

16. Probably has the flag turned around backwards
But the swastika drawn in this direction is an important symbol in hinduism which has no connection to the Nazi use of the sybol.

19. Yes, and some other cultures use the "Z" -symbol.
His is definitely backwards...not a Swastika. Idiots!

26. Technically it is still
a swastica, either deliberately or accidentally imprinted backwards on his flag or he is holding the flag with the back facing out instead of the front.

To see various (and some bizarre) usages of this symbol go to:

17. Who was that guy who said not to pray in the street?
“Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues and on street corners so that people can see them. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you” Matthew 6:5-6, quoting Jesus

Now, I'm all for praying anywhere at all. The point, I think was not to pray as performance, for the benefit of people. If the cameraman has time to frame the shot, maybe the prayer is playing to the wrong audience

37. Yep
I guess their church never talked about that. Oy. I remember whenever I was younger being with my grandparents we'd go eat out and they'd always quietly say the prayer at the table at the restaurant. I always felt kinda iffy doing that but . We weren't doing like those people.

22. If the general population does not recoil in horror over this
we are in SERIOUS trouble. Complete mass insanity.

The 'church leaders' have managed to distort and bend Christ's teachings to SUPPORT killing 100,000 innocent people, while condemning the 'liberals' who want PEACE and justice.

Freaky shit.

there is a sign that says "Those who do not love" and probably has at the end "do not know God." How ironic huh?
