Poll question: If Terri Schiavo was a Democrat before her condition....
Edited on Sat Mar-26-05 01:18 PM by Stop_the_War
do you think that the fundies and repukes would upon finding this out abandon their cause before you can say "hypocrites"?

Note: I do not know what Terri Schiavo's political views were, this is just a what-if question

3. Of course not. This has nothing to do with Terri Schiavo the person.
Obviously, this whole sideshow doesn't have anything to do with who she was or what she wanted. If it did, it wouldn't exist.

4. No... they don't care about her political affiliations...
...any more than they care about her stated wishes on dying with dignity. However, if she were black, gay, non-Christian or French, then they'd drop her as their "Statue of San Gennaro."

6. NO!
When did the fundies and repukes ever care about a person's personal views.... they're all about capitalizing on the moment -- the individual (and her views) is UTTERLY IRRELEVANT !!!

They'd USE it to show that they love everybody ....

I really believe that.

7. I doubt it would change much; she is a convenient tool
to advance their agenda. But if there were some proof that she was an outspoken Democrat, or in any other way stood against anything her supporters now stand for, I don't think they would be quite so passionate as they are. They'd still oppose it all, but finding out she did not agree with them would take at least a little wind out of their sails.

8. No,
this isn't about her but their obsession of their cause. To them there exits no gray, just the black and white of their views and they are a very radicalized group of people.
