Some hypocrisy from the religiously insane |
|
I've b een watching reichwing sites, especially Freakerland, during this Shiavo thing. Mostly because, like most people, when I pass a wreck I must slow down and gape.
I've been seeing time and again these Religious Reich hypocrites declaring that absolutely, Felos, Michael Shiavo, and Judge Greer will be burning for all eternity in their Hell.
What hypocrisy! Under the doctrine of the religion they espouse, even if these three men conspired to kill Terri Shiavo as these religiously insane people assert, all that is necessary for them to go to the heaven espoused by their religion is to pray to God, accept Jesus as their savior, and beg forgiveness on their death beds. No human need even hear this plea!

I've been thinking that Bush and Company would be the ones in Hell.
As far as begging for forgiveness on their death bed is concerned. I'm not sure someone can knowingly and deliberately deceive people and break the rules time after time after time and then be absolved on their death bed. I don't think it works quite that way. I really don't.

That's Christian dogma. It does work that way in the Christian religion.

belief system. Also, dogma does not necessarily reflect the truth.
Dogma definition courtesy of merriam-webster:
1 a : something held as an established opinion; especially : a definite authoritative tenet b : a code of such tenets <pedagogical dogma> c : a point of view or tenet put forth as authoritative without adequate grounds
2 : a doctrine or body of doctrines concerning faith or morals formally stated and authoritatively proclaimed by a church
I don't see God anywhere in that definition. Do you?
Edit-Decided not to.
