Possible outcome for Tom Delay's Dad if he hadn't "pulled the plug on Pop"
Edited on Mon Mar-28-05 01:37 PM by Pachamama
This article was in our paper yesterday - tells the story of a man who fell off the roof and was in a coma on a ventilator (similar to Tom Delay's Dad). The hospital wanted to take him off the ventilator and let him die, his wife refused....weeks later, he awoke. While he's disabled, he's glad to be alive...but to make the matter more tragic for what happened to this man, he didn't have health insurance, and he and his wife lost practically everything for the $500K+ bill they had to pay and liquidate all their belongings.

Tom Delay's story is ofcourse a bit different - he and his family approved the taking of his Dad off the ventilator and he died - then they sued the company his dad worked for....hmmmm...

If we use Tom Delay's logic and reasoning and what he has said about the Schiavo case, then Tom Delay is a murderer...he murdered his father! In fact, it is more likely that his Dad would have recovered from the coma than Terri Schiavo would re-grow a Cerebral Cortex!

I just had to post this story because it once again just shows that people like Tom Delay are hypocritical a-holes that pass judgement on others, but the facts of their own lifes speaks volumes and contradicts their own statements!

3. I wonder if CNN, MSNBC, Fox.. are going to cover the story on Delay's Dad?
Because it shows what a hypocrite that lying bug man is...

And the story I posted above very clearly shows that people in Coma's on ventilators (like Delay's Dad) do often recover...perhaps paralyzed and disabled, but alive. Ask the guy in the above story if he would have wanted "the plug pulled"?

Meanwhile I've heard some Freepers say related to the Delay story and his Dad say that the difference between Delay's situation and the Schiavo story is that Delay's Dad had no chance of recovery (as opposed to Terri?)....bullshit...the story in the marinij I posted shows an example of otherwise....

2. It is astonishing isn't it?
Culture of Life, Frivolous lawsuits, sanctity of marriage, States' rights, individual rights/freedom - all thrown out the window with this group.
