What to do about hate radio?
From morning until night one of my area's only talk radio stations airs nothing but right-wing propaganda. Rush, Hannity, Savage, some Local Asshat, and Phil Hendrie, who I used to listen to until he started bashing the left during the election. It sucks.

What do you guys suggest I do? I suppose I can write to the station but I highly doubt that'll change anything.

1. Very simple. Don't listen to it.
Like almost everything else, it's market driven.

2. Yep
I'd just turn it off. And you can listen to AAR online and other progressive talk.

3. I'm tired of changing the channel
I'm running out of tv channels and radio stations to listen to.

4. Listen to webcasts at home. If you're in the car a lot...
you might want to go for satellite radio, in order to receive Air America.

How is/are your local NPR affiliate(s)? Any decent local programming there? Morning Edition and All Things Considered have grown much more bush-friendly lately, but there are still good programs on the network.

How about college radio stations? Have you given them a chance?

5. Let them die an uncelebrated death. Enjoy your life and focus on
the positive.
