Democrats let Shciavo Fiasco pass right through them and hit the |
|
wall behind. Left a big mess on that wall. A big Repuke, Bush brother mess that all can see.
Congratulations to the Democrats for not falling or knee-jerk reacting to the Repuke games.
Don't be predictable.

1. I'm starting to think that was their plan all along |
|
To let the Republicans over-reach, and make an ass out of themselves doing so.
However, I do think they should have been more vocal about this. They should have explained that this case has been litigated practically to death, and there was no federal issue or oversight that should cause the Congress, White House, or federal courts to get involved.

2. I agree with you, let the repubs shoot themselves in the foot |
|
They do not need us to be there for that to happen, no help from the Dems this time around, good job.

6. I disagree. Democratic senators have learnt the rule on the WH. |
|
Don't react. Don't be predictable. Don't let them set the agenda.
And when you see their followers try an end run around them (for ignoring the support they gave) stand back and watch.

5. Agreed...Their motives and mistakes are so obvious... |
|
nothing more need be said. If the situation needed spinning then we should be there but it's obvious even to Republicans. Besides it wouldn't get us any more converts and making it political on our side would only hurt us. Yes...We did Good! Very good! For a change.

4. Democrats correctly realized that this is NOT a political issue. |
|
It's a personal and family decision that has been turned into a political football and media circus. About the only thing Dems could have said regarding the fiasco is that Pukes are using it to gain political points (which backfired, haha), and that such behavior is despicable. I think some did say as much.

7. What makes it such good fodder is the back-story and the fact that |
|
it is a vague living will. So people can see in Terri what they want to. Fortunately..most still see her as a human being and don't want to see her suffer needlessly, or not suffer in the life as a vegetable.. if that is what she wanted.

8. And when Congress reconvenes |
|
they should spin it exactly as you put it, " this is a personal family matter " that should be left up to that family to decide....
WIN.. WIN !!
