How will fundies explain that God saw fit to take his child home |
|
whilst her parents were away from her side? How will fundies explain that God saw fit to grant to Terri's lawfully wedded and loving husband the last moments of her life with him by her side?
May she rest in peace.
Because I could not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me; The carriage held but just ourselves And Immortality.
We slowly drove, he knew no haste, And I had put away My labour, and my leisure too, For his civility.
We passed the school where children played At wrestling in a ring; We passed the fields of gazing grain, We passed the setting sun.
We paused before a house that seemed A swelling of the ground; The roof was scarecely visible, The cornice but a mound.
Since then 'tis centuries; but each Feels shorter than the day I first surmised the horses' heads Were toward eternity.

3. Oh, who knows, or cares. |

Why God allows evil to exist is a huge issue, and if the tsunami or personal tragedy hasn't broken their faith, then Terry Schiavo won't.

5. It's not that I think it would in any way make them question their |
|
faith. But from what I can tell they believe that God always has a hand in things so I was wondering how given this belief they can spin the fact that MS was granted the last moments.
From a religious POV wouldn't that fact have significance? Dollars to donuts if she passed whilst the parents were alone in the room fundies would be in a frenzy claiming that that God was rendering a judgement favourable to the parents.

6. Yes. I wish the sellout priests & bishops would remember.... |

That their new "pro-life" allies hate other parts of Catholic doctrine--like opposing the death penalty & aggressive war, & supporting social justice.
And quite a few of them hate the Scarlet Woman.
