Coming European papers headline "Bush We Don't Want You Here"
Edited on Mon Apr-04-05 03:09 PM by jn2375
I can see these headlines coming soon, anyone want to make a bet! Which country will scream the loudest. Will there be protest and will the media in this country cover them. I doubt it.

1. Is it an insult to the Pope who was against Bush's War?
There are going to be plenty of people who say it is. Bush will just ignore them, so they will have to be very loud.

2. It would be tough not to have them televised if there were protests.

4. Mockery
Bush is going to make a mockery of the Pope's funeral; 3 mile radius zones, helicopters flying over, etc, for "security"? WHY? How many true believing Catholics will be forced away because of BUSH? He is only doing this for political gain. geesch. He could have sent Laura or Condi, but he wants the POLITICAL support of AMERICAN CATHOLICS. Hypocrite.

8. I totally agree -- he's a fake while the Pope was real
Shrub doesn't give a shit about true religious faith -- only what SAYING he's religious can do for him politically -- and now he has the GALL to intrude on the funeral of a truly devout man and his truly devout followers. God is not smiling on this ... If he wants to pay his respect, have him go ahead of time and do it and then leave so that the funeral can proceed with grace and without being upstaged by him and security cabal.

10. Hypocrite--exactly!
Lest anyone forget, Dubya spoke at Bob Jones University while he was campaigning back in 2000. Not only is BJU racist (interracial dating is banned) and homophobic, it is also anti-Catholic!

5. hmmm
May be an opportunity to meet fact-to-face with several other world leaders in private. That would be my guess. We know for sure that he doesn't give a ratz ass about the death of the Pope.

9. Italians will be none too happy that the blivet
is going to be sullying their mourning for PJPII. I wouldn't be surprised if headlines abound, though perhaps they'll have respect for the pope and keep it to themselves.
