Quiz -- What Political Persuasion Are You? |
|
Edited on Mon Apr-04-05 07:51 PM by Chichiri
http://www.blogthings.com/political-persuasion.html You Are a New School Democrat
You like partying and politics - and are likely to be young and affluent.
You're less religious, traditional, and uptight than most Democrats.
Smoking pot, homosexuality, and gambling are all okay in your book.
You prefer that the government help people take care of themselves.

2. Strange questions they ask! |
|
You've got a bleeding heart - and you're proud of it.
For you, liberal means being compassionate, pro-government, and anti-business. (anti-business wtf? Because I resist the destruction of democracy and communities by corporate dictatorship I'm ANTI-business? News to me!)
You believe in equality for every person, and you consider yourself universally empathetic.
Helping others is not just political for you ... it's very personal too. (I don't like being buttered up either so watch yourself!)

3. They say I am a Liberal for life! |
|
Even though I said >I'd trust a CEO of a company I like more than a politican I'd vote for. >A small amount of SS privitation. >As many people should get a tax cut as possible.
I always thought I was a bit centrist. But then again, I live in San Franicsco, so by those standards, I probably am still a centrist Democrat.

16. You Are a Liberal for Life. |
|
Yep.
Although some of those questions are worded badly. For example, having pot "sold at 7-11!" and "Legal but regulated" are not any more mutually exclusive for marijuana than they are for alcohol, which is legal, regulated, AND sold at many 7-11s...
Also, "is government too big"? Well, fuck yes, right now it is. Particularly the military-industrial and prison-industrial complex parts of it. Get government out of people's bedrooms and bloodstreams and cut the massively bloated military budget down to something sane, and what we consider "Government" is this country would lose a big slice of its raison d'etre.
