The U.S. Senate is playing the most cynical of games.

Reports from Washington this morning tell us that Republican senators are going to attach part of the President's illegal alien amnesty program to an emergency-spending bill.

As a former congressman, I know how this scam works.

You pick the most offensive bill you can find and attach it to a piece of legislation that everyone knows must be passed.

So what have Republican leaders in the U.S. Senate decided to hold hostage?

The safety of U.S. troops overseas.

not for certain, but a legislative correspondent in DC thinks it may by him. Craig of Idaho authored S359. Someone in Feinstein's office looked into it for me.

5. kick - people need to know this
and by people, I mean the people who stuck their head in the sand and voted bush thinking he would stand up for conservative values. They shouldn't be the least bit surprised that he has completely sold them out again. The people that wanted a conservative in the white house would have been ALOT better off with Kerry.

maybe - maybe not on the attachment of the illegal immigration bill to the Iraq funding bill of the s359. He said he knows its very controversial and wouldn't say one way or the other for certain.

My question to him was did Craig attach this , I know he authored it but did he attach it to funding for the soldiers.
