How can I buy stock that is listed on ASX (australian xchng) ..? |

I have etrade and ameritrade accounts and don't want to open any additional accounts ( ie Australia Etrade etc.)
Any ideas?

are traded as an ADR(American Depository Receipt) on us exchanges. For example Embraer, a Brazilian jet manufacturer is traded on the NYSE as ERJ.

What stock is it, if you don't mind my asking?
You could also just call Ameritrade. They have pretty decent customer service.

Couldn't find out too much. Australian Yahoo has a more primitive finance section and there didn't seem to be a corporate website or ADR listed anywhere on either source. I see why you're having problems. Couldn't bring it up on Ameritrade, either, but they're probably the best source on what you can trade. Good luck.
