A Question of About the New Bankruptcy Act |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-09-05 12:15 PM by The Whiskey Priest
The way I understand the new law is:
You will no longer be able to elect Chapter 7 only if you meet a means test. Otherwise, you will be required to enter into a repayment schedule under Chapter 13.
The Question:
Let’s suppose that I experience large medical bills, or loose my job, or any other thing that might economically ruin me. I then appeal to bankruptcy and enter into a repayment schedule under Chapter 13.
Now, let us say that the Rapture occurs; the question is, has DeLay offered an amendment to the act that forces Jesus to sent me back until such time as I complete the repayment schedule?
