Just enjoyed an extremely gracious introduction by the outgoing senator from Minnesota, Mark Dayton.

6. That was one of my fave lines from her speech! |
|
Hillary really gave a kick-ass speech tonight! She was on fire.
I also liked how she said the Repugs are pretending like her husband would have been for their social security plan. And she laughed and said "I know Bill Clinton......"

Her thing about the "Ownership Society" being "'You're on your own ship' Society, no matter how bad the weather, no matter how harsh the seas!"
And she touched on all the usual topics about how far we've come since 2000 and how the Republicans are taking us back beyond Truman, beyond FDR, beyond Teddy Roosevelt, and how they're so Radical and outside the mainstream.
It was fantastic. :D

8. Yeppers! And the other part I liked... |
|
Was how she talked about the Repugs using all the unity after 9/11 for their own political gain. She mentioned how they took the unity the country had in the fight against terrorism, and used that to further their right-wing agenda. She was so awesome!
And then she mentioned how sometimes she feels like she's watching a movie on Capitol Hill, as far as some Senators being a rubber stamp for Bushie's agenda. Was it I-Robot she mentioned?

"Just a bunch of extras in the Capital Hill version of I, Robot"
I really hope we can get a Democrat to replace Mark Dayton. He gave her the greatest and kindest intro.

I'm going to catch his introduction on the re-run on Cspan. I missed that....I came in on Hillary's speech.
I certainly hope that Minnesotans elect a Democrat to replace Mark Dayton. We need all the help we can get on the Hill.
I also liked the references to Paul and Sheila Wellstone that Hillary made. God bless their souls.

She hit a lot of my liberal buttons.
The audience (of rich people) seemed very energized.

Anyone know where I can find a written transcript of her remarks as delivered? I want to send it to a few friends of mine.
