Face it. Kucinich is way too liberal. |
|
Dennis is a good guy and he is good on most of the issues, but he's too good. He's so good, that he cannot be supported. And don't forget, he was responsible for the power problems in Cleveland. Just think what the pukes will do with that issue. There has to be someone more electable out there.

2. If you never stick up for your principles |
|
Then electability doesnt matter.
No matter who we put up, the republicans will portray him or her as a leftwing, big-government liberal. It might as well be someone who is an excellent speaker, humanitarian, and activist.

3. right now he's one of only a VERY small handful of dems... |

4. Blaming Kucinich for the power problems in Cleveland -- |
|
-- is unfair and inaccurate.
There are many people who would never vote for Dennis Kucinich because he is too good, as you put it, but that should not stop Dennis from being good.
I'm glad he's good and I think he'll stay that way.

10. Because he's too good. |
|
He's like choclate syrup against a bunch of ovaltines. He's that good and it proves he can't be elected.

7. DK stood for the people of Cleveland and paid a political price. |
|
When he was out of politics he became a teacher.
He comes with no strings attached and would be an asset in any capacity on a Federal level.
But he is not a viable national candidate yet. And that is painful for me to say.
Back to the point I wish to make, DK stood up for the people against the corporate energy interests when Mayor of Cleveland.

8. There may well be someone more electable than |
|
Dennis. But I would really support a ticket with Edwards and Kucinich, and to be honest, there are Dem tickets I would pass on at this point.

9. I agree with you, but Clinton isn't much better, and she will be the nomin |
|
ee. She is only very different from dennise here at DU, but to the general public they are not.
So many DUers are going to learn to like Hillary once she wins the nomination, yet to the public she won't be much different than DK...so why does she have a chance, yet DK doesn't? My guess is star power (though only in our party) and looks.
