I have never actually seen an article that explains what his ethics problems are. What are they and do you think he is going down?

6. He is the most corrupt politician to come along in a long time
But his ego is huge and he's not going to go away peacefully. As long as his constituents like him, he'll stay in office. Whether or not he keeps his leadership role is another matter.

7. Today...
Both Lil' Ricky Sanatorium and Chris Shays came out against him two-square(not quite foursquare, but almost). They essentially called him out, to start doing some serious 'splainin'. On top of that "Spikey" Mikey Isikoff has a piece in tomorrow's Newsweak(sic) that has Jack Abramoff strongly suggesting that he will do a full pas se deux with the federal prosecutor, with accompanying documents. For the right price, one can safely assume.

He is becoming a very scary liability for them. Surely, the fact that he has swung his considerable weight around in DC and pissed a lot of them off has something to do with it as well.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he ultimately gets some quality time at Allenwood, once this all shakes out.

8. It's been building since 1994
When the Republicans took Congress, they began to put a number of systems into place. Some to consolidate their hold on power. Others to bring the money pouring in. They also leaned on people very hard to insure that no one could play the Washington game without playing it their way. When Bush took the presidency, all three of those systems only intensified.

However, in the course of doing these things, they both committed a variety of illegal, immoral, or unethical acts and also royaly pissed off a lot of people. Now all that is coming home to roost.

Tom DeLay happens to be at the center of it -- and there are probably a lot of Republicans hoping right now that they can get away with throwing DeLay to the wolves and saving their own skins. But in fact the entire system is corrupt to the core, and once the floodgates open, a fair chunk of the Republican leadership may find itself in deep doo-doo.

(Yeah, I know. I'm mixing my metaphors. I plead the lateness of the hour.)
