Michael Moore is Running for Pope |
|
Today I got this message from the potential future 'his holiness':
Friends,
How's it going? Ready for the next step?
Let me know what you've been up to and any ideas you have about what our next move should be (write me at the addresses below).
Meanwhile, I'll be in conclave this week handing out goodie bags and running for pope. Wish me well!
Yours,
Michael Moore MMFlint@aol.com Mike@michaelmoore.com www.michaelmoore.com
***very few people know that before becoming a political activist film maker, Michael Moore considered the priesthood.***

2. I got that e-mail too. He's doing this in an attempt to defy * |
|
who told him he should get a "real" job or an "honest" job, I forget which. Pope is about as far from either as anything I can think of.

16. He likes to "clear brush".. |
|
Edited on Sat Apr-16-05 06:14 PM by ClintonTyree
that's the hardest work he's ever done and actually the only thing he's qualified for. If it wasn't for his family ties he couldn't get a job as a night counter-man for Dunkin' Donuts.

3. LOL, I was just about to post this, too. |
|
You beat me to it.
He asked "wassup", so I sent him the link to the DeLay speaking to the NRA convention post from POLITICS forum. Filming opportunity.

5. What's in the goody bags? |
|
I may not be a Cardinal but I am Cuckoo, does that qualify me to vote for the new pope? I could change to a Blue Jay or Robin if that'd help. Keith’s Barbeque Central

9. yup that he sure is, if you watch "The Big One" he talks about his days |
|
getting in trouble with nuns in Catholic school. And there is a segment in his show "The Awful Truth" when he is barred from going to Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral right across from Rockefeller Center. He got a restraining order from some real estate mogul he sent a statue of shit to. It was actually pretty funny. Anyways I'll be money that he's a practicing devout Catholic.
I think he talks about it in one of his books too, probably Stupid White Men

19. The really funny thing is, since he is a practicing Catholic male, |
|
he technically COULD be elected as the next Pope.
I'd recommend "Pope Michael IX/I/I"
