1. Using the theocratic statement is going to actually bolster the
support of the Reich wing fundamentalist.
I would find some other tact than theocracy, because many of the bu$h neo-cons fell theocracy is right and justifiable.

2. Well if you have Republican Friends on the fence
Ask them if they would feel comfortable with that set up with Hillary Clinton (or some other Liberal they aren't fond of) being able to pass any judges she wanted.

3. HA!
I love it. I'm a big Hilary fan, but still, the woman has so much vitriol directed at her... and now you've found a way to use that to our advantage! I salute you, sir! :toast:

6. ever seen an "eagle" with only one wing fly?
having one 'party' rule all segments of a nation negates democracy-
even a moron should be able to realize that-

"this would be a lot easier if it were a dictatorship" was indeed more than a 'freuidan slip', as we are witnessing-

"Sheeple" is a term unfair to the animal- while they are creatures of habit, and prefer to follow a 'leader' (usually a 'bell-wether') and though they tend to 'give up' when they are 'tipped' (placed belly vunerable) they can fight like hell when they are given opportunity- and those hooves can really do some damage- not to mention their head butting- i've known sheep all my life-
the 'public' isn't following the leader, they're in denial- and in many cases too lazy and afraid to use thier OWN minds- because if they really LOOKED at what we are doing, they'd either have to act, or re-act, and that isn't 'comfortable'. Or easy, or instant, something we Americans have come to value more than anything else i fear-

7. The simple way to save the filibuster...
is to demand the Repubs go back to the rules that were in effect during the Clinton presidency. That would allow any one Democratic Senator to block nominations. No need for a filibuster.

If the Democrats demanded this, the American people would see it as a clear issue of fairness. Who could argue that what applied to one party shouldn't apply to the other? The Democrats would win.

That the Democrats aren't doing this speaks volumes. They don't want to win on the issue of judicial nominees. They want to hold the issue of the filibuster and Senate shut-down over the Repubs heads for as long as possible. This is what they see as a winning strategy. I don't see why, but I'm not a politician.
