What has GWB EVER done to prove himself "heroic"? |
|
Has he EVER had to pull himself up by his own bootstraps, without any support?
Has he EVER voluntarily served his neighbor or community (we're talking TIME not money)?
Has he EVER voluntarily compensated those he wronged?
Has he EVER volunteered his life to serve this country?
Has he EVER volunteered his time, without expectation of return, to this country?
WHAT HAS GWB EVER DONE TO PROVE HIMSELF THE "HERO" THAT HE DEMANDS OF THE REST OF THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY?

1. Present a SOTU address that he knew was full of lies |
|
in order to start an illegal preemptive war. That was about as "heroic" as it gets.

2. If he really has stopped drinking, he is a dry drunk. Not the slightest |
|
inclination to ever take responsibility for anything he has done that he shouldn't have done or failed to do that he should have.
He is a total USER & ABUSER. Substances, people, excuses, he uses and abuses them all.

16. I can honestly say that I've met substance abusers who were more heroic |
|
by far, than GWB can ever proclaim. But, they abused substances to escape pain from the outside rather than using substance abuse as an excuse to inflict their own pain upon others.
GWB abuses to serve himself, period. He doesn't fall within the majority of substance abusers who are attempting to escape from the pains of existence that Georgie Dear has NEVER, in his worst nightmares, had to confront and overcome.

Even though he knew it was designed by those nerdy scientist types he used to give "swirlies" to at school.

5. I gotta ask, what the hell is a "swirly?" I have seen the term |
|
several times on DU but have no idea what it means.

7. at our school, it was used in this context |
|
Not among the girls (or Charlene what's-her-name and her posse would probably have done it to me!) -- but the meaner boys would drag someone, usually a younger/smaller/nerdier guy, into the washroom -- stick his head in the toilet -- and flush it.

11. I grew up in simpler, more sanitary times. A "pink belly" was |
|
when two guys held your arms and legs while a third slapped your bare stomach until it was bright red.

6. Nothing! Nada! Zilch! In fact he has failed at everything short of |
|
being picked up off the floor (literaly I imagine) by his family name and influence. If he hadn't been born into money, with a silver spoon stuck in him mouth, with his brains and lack of curiosity he would have been just another Joe-Blue collar, sitting next to you on a bar-stool in a wife beater t-shirt, working a menial blue-color job - in other words a nobody!

8. According to his bio film at the Republican Natl Convention, he |
|
pitched a baseball after 9-11. It was a great pitch, and it proved his steadfastness and heroism. I kid you not; I am not making this up.

20. I keep thinking of a DU post a few months ago... |
|
...and I can't remember who posted it. That said, it implied that if * took a shit in the Rose Garden, his followers would proclaim it a "bold and inspired shit." I think that type of thing ties into your example of the propaganda bio-pic narrator gushing over his "steadfast, heroic" pitch.

10. Hey,cut that crap out... |
|
demeaning our grate president. He admirably served in the Texas Air National Guard, part time, and came within a year or so of fulfilling his obligation with them. If it wasn't for heroes like george bush, the Viet Cong would have over-run the Texas-Mexico border and you'd be speaking Vietnamese and eating bowls of rice right now, you commie, Liberal, fag! :sarcasm:
Nothing, the spoiled little, rich boy from Kennebunkport has never done a thing to prove that he is a man, let alone a man of valor.
