Senate Judiciary Committee meeting Thurs 9:30 - judicial nominations!!!!!!
The Senate Judiciary Committee is meeting Thursday 9:30 am on some of the radical judicial nominations that were held up last session and re-nominated this session.

I am not sure what will be happening during this meeting of the committee - I don't know if they will be just talking about the nominations or voting. This could be the triggering of the nuclear option!

1. I sent letters
Edited on Thu Apr-21-05 06:13 AM by mmonk
to my "unrepresentatives" in the Senate attacking them for their support of Boyle in statements issued. I said they had an obligation to represent their constituents (Boyle is against ADA) as their first duty as Senators, not to be ideologues at their contituents' expense (Dole, Burr). Of course, I've received no reply. I plan to get an "Unrepresented" bumper sticker soon.

2. Senator Dick Durbin just announced on Senate floor that
the Republicans will go nuclear! He is furious!

Is anyone watching this?

3. Gee, if they wait a couple more days
Congress will be in recess and Bush can do his usual back-door assignments.
