*** can you imagine if a "male prostitute" was visting the clinton white house - and I'm not talking about Harold Ickes here, particulary on days when there was no press briefing - and the secret service was unable to provide a time of exit?
If nobody knew he was a male prostitute and he came and went day after day without incident, I would have no problem imagining this at all. Those who are trusted are not tracked like terrorists, period. (And by "trusted", I mean trusted not to cause trouble or danger for anyone inside the White House.)

My question: why didn't the secret service advise the white house (post 9/11) that gannon was unsuitable for private WH vistits let alone white house press corp.

This has been answered time and time again: Because he only got day passes. Those seeking day passes to the briefing room get only a rudimentary security check (have you ever killed anyone, been committed to a mental institution or otherwise shown yourself to be a dangerous nutcase, etc). Gannon/Guckert was and is perfectly suitable for WH visits unless the only thing constituting "suitability" is "Could the Democrats make hay out of him being there?" (And once it was discovered they could, the WH stopped letting him in.)

BTW, I guarantee you that there are others given daily access to the White House - including those who have passed the far more stringent security checks required for permanent passes - who lead private lives that are just as embarrassing as Gannon's, if not more so. They just haven't been caught, and 99% of them never will be. Such is the case in any organization comprised of thousands of employees and daily visitors, and was the case in the Clinton White House, the Bush 41 White House, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, and as far back as you want to go.

I think my post was quite clear: It's about the numbers. I don't know exactly who, nor do I care. What people do in their private lives is their own business, as far as I'm concerned. They could start giving Gannon day passes again tomorrow morning and I'd be fine with it. Screw the Democrats.

4. Yep
Denial in the finest. And they're not getting the picture. Who cares if he's gay and is a prostitute. He was there and didn't work for a press. How is that possible? Somebody let him in there and I want to know who.

Since when did that become the motto of the fucking Republicans. Oh, yeah, I forgot. Since their own bullshit problems came to light.

How does anyone read or make sense of anything posted over there?
It is so primitive and awful. Shudder.

5. Priceless
The silence is deafening from Right-Wingers when this issue is brought up.

My particular favorite bit of that post was the part where the author said "What people do in their private lives is their own business". Thats rich! I'm sure this guy is one of the ones thats outraged by the Clinton BJ and how it was a threat to our very being! :sarcasm:

10. Don't Mention the War
Well, Dont Mention the War, as he spells it, talks like a brainwashed cult member. The cult leader remains blameless no matter what he does. Just read his comments and think about them. I've read about such people in novels but here is the real thing!

Edited on Tue Apr-26-05 01:23 PM by cat_girl25
I'm surprised the thread starter got some bites out of it. Because most of them don't want to talk about Gannon. They loved him to death before he was found out but now they're in dummy mode. Me thinks they are hurting because of Gannon's past and instead of lashing out at him, they lash out at us.

15. So I have a question.......
Wasn't it Rush Limpballs who said (in regards to Gore's new radio program) that Clinton was responsible for all the sex/blow jobs performed in high school these days. If Clinton is 'responsible' for that via Monica, what will Georgie boy be responsible for through Gannon? The freepers better hide their kids!

16. Hi there ! no exit time may be clue....????
if he is trained, underground operative of some persuasion...?

just came across recent research that presents the possibility those in these circumstances may have been 'chipped' and no exact times 'really' necessary

negater-types, neasayers are trying to avert the creation of...

raise awareness~build genuine* community~make better choices

always trying to say there are no right answers and there doesn't have to be one, but one accumulates and filters knowledge, not belittles, denies or distorts, -to cease goin' in circles and use the noggin to decide to make choices that lead to better paths, concerted program to cultivate doubt and float obliviously in suspended animation, with constant back and forth agitation (picture; washing machine) to eliminate or obfuscate any frame of reference, post modernism bs & all
BS = BeliefSystem

but there is discernment to evaluate with keen response ability to simply and justly make better choices

I choose Light, I'm avoiding the dialectical karma-trap of telling folks to go to hell, but instead inviting folks to Come to Heaven~~~couzin

Yes the exit times are a clue and throw in some entrance times. You bet your bottom that plenty of bloggers are investigating these logins.

17. Great Thread cat_girl25! :) The freepers are hoping and praying
of course- ;) -that this Gannon thing will go away. They might be working overtime on those prayers too right now-LOL! Because Gannon is their worst nightmare considering they simply can't explain him and his actions away. The entire thing stinks of hypocrisy to high heaven and it's written in huge neon lights! For any of em to say they don't care what goes on in other peoples private lives is a total joke because they have their noses in everyone else's' privacy in this entire country! Just look at the Patriot Bills and the new ID bill that was passed today! They want the government to OWN every one of us! Gannon is the exception to the rule because the truth about him could damage "their president". :eyes: What total B.S.!

18. Guckert's private life?
When he had Web Sites advertising his sexual services and photos of himself nude and pissing? The Twilight Zone and the Freeper site are one.

The entire Bush Junta, the Lame Stream Media and the Fundies are working overtime to pretend that this HYPOCRICY is a non-issue.

This may well be the little trickle that opens up the flood gate of this
foul Corporate, Criminal Bush Junta.
