Rummy "I just found out in recent days" |
|
That's what he said at the Senate hearings, about finding out that Niger documents were garbage.
Now he tells George S. that he found out March 8, and LITERALLY counts on his fingers to figure out that that is NOT recent days.
Is Rummy suffering from temporal distortion, should we call for the DEA to look into what he's been smoking?

2. the Watergate crime was minor, it was the COVER-UP that |
|
destroyed nixon and his minions....
watching the bush* COVER-UP is actually histerically funny...criminals trying to explain WHO knew and WHEN they knew, and WHAT they knew...pointing fingers, lying...
and in the end...THE question for watergate was:
WHAT did the president KNOW, and WHEN did he know it ?????
(and that question gets explored and answered during an impeachment)

Even I knew they were fake a few months ago...I think the New Republic mentioned it in an article called "Truth be Told."

4. I heard him say the same thing on MTP, only he referred |
|
to March 8th as being a matter of "weeks" ago. I'd say that it was a good 4 MONTHS ago that he knew this info to be false. Evil LIAR!

5. Question to ask: "Which Lie Is True" |
|
Is it that you "just found out a couple of days ago" (hell we've known about it since 2002), or "three months ago"....CIA says it knew last fall and told WH not to include it in a speech in October 2002.
Which lie is true?

6. it was in the papers in March... if Rummy just found out in 'recent' days |
|
then the Admin's entire intelligence apparatus is grossly incompetent, and every hour that they are allowed to keep their jobs brings us closer to the peril that they lied to us about
if there were REAL intelligence about a potential attack on us, what assurance do we have that these idiots even KNOW it??

8. I think Rummy is in trouble on this one. |

In the hearing, he answered that he had only learned about the issue in "recent days." Then, immediately, Rumsfeld was pressed by a Senator for more detail on the timeframe, and he said (almost exact qote) "I think I've answered the question." No wonder he wanted to correct himself really fast on the Sunday talk shows today.
I think the Senator didn't believe Rumsfeld and wanted to make him repeat the lie for all to hear. Rumsfeld not only said he had only heard about the issue in "recent days." He affirmed his answer categorically.
