How odd.. Air America's home page has a Sirius Ad on it..
That's gonna piss some people off if they sign up in the waning days of coverage.. I have not been lisyening to AAR much lately.. Have they spoken about their "switch", or are they stonewalling it and saying nothing?

Shame on them if that's their approach.. Any news from Sirius about what they will fill that time with??

If they were smart, they would add in INDEPENDENT liberal hosts like Guy James and some other local people.. Arne Anderson (I think that's her name)too..
There are people out here in "listener-land" who bought Sirius because of their apparent interest in providing an alternative voice, and since they are losing AAR, I hope they plan to have SOMETHING for us to listen to besides TalkLeft..

1. Not for me. I reloaded the page about 6 times, and the only radio
ad was for XM.

6. Oh, I thought you meant the FRONT page. These inside ads are bought as

a group from an ad sales company that sort of generally "targets" the ads to where it's going to appear — AAR has no control over what shows up.

Edited to add: Sorry about the confusion. But then, you did have me clicking furiously! Maybe the extra clicks will give AAR a few more cents extra revenue!

7. AAR Is Dropping Sirius...
AAR does not value the listenership of Sirius subscribers.

8. me too.. I specifically got Sirius for AAR
but I have decided to not switch.. Not only the money..the principle..

I will listen to AAR online, and TalkLeft in the car.. when the subscription is up, I may switch the Sirius to my husband's truvk, and if XM has a bargain, I might add them, and put it it my car.. but maybe not..

I resent being "played".

11. I have decided not to switch also.
I just have a gut feeling I will be glad later on if I stay with Sirius.

I download Rachel Maddow's show every day, and I can listen to AAR on the San Diego station. I like Stacey Taylor; he's just on the SD station on 1360 AM. He has Donna Frye on quite a bit (she should be SD mayor, but an initial court decision said that, despite the thousands of write-ins with her name on it, the votes didn't count because the voters didn't fill in the bubble next to the handwritten name).

The rest of the time I listen to TalkLeft on Sirius (#143).

I listen to Randi for a little bit each day - I can get her on the AM station.

I love #19 on Sirius.

10. Why'd they switch?
Sirius is so much better than XM - big mistake IMO.
