Any suggestions for my letter to my Congressman?.... |
|
Dear Mr Smith,
In light of the recent deceptive revelations on the part of President Bush regarding the Iraq issue and 9/11, I would like to know what steps you intend on taking in calling for the impeachment of this President.
I wasn't born yesterday sir. Apparantly the President and his "advisors" must think that many American voters were.
This President and many of his aides are on record in numerous instances referring to Iraq and 9/11 in the same sentence or paragraph. The inferrance being left to the American people to make the link between the two. To come out now and declare something otherwise is itself an act of deception.
I doubt the many military families as well as those currently serving in Iraq find it comforting to now know that after having been led to believe they were fighting an enemy in retaliation for 9/11, the President and others announce there is no link between Saddam Hussein and what happened on that fateful morning.
There is no wiggle room on this one. The administration lied. Plain and simple and for you or your aides to try to explain away the criminal actions this President has undertaken in my name is to be complicite with an administration that does not operate in the best interests of all the American people. I say "all" because it does operate for "some" of the American people. Most notably Halliburton, Bechtel, Kellogg, Brown & Root and interests behind the Project For a New American Century.
The ball is in your court. Reckoning day is in November 2004. What do you plan to do?

....say revelations of deception, not the other way around. By the way, there is no 'e' in complicit and apparent is spelled with an 'e' not 'a'. Hey, what is your attraction to the letter 'e'? Hmmmm? :-)

5. Can't stop trying....... |

...but take it from someone who has written plenty of letters and placed numerous calls...they don't pay any attention. Let's face it, once they're in, you can't blast them out; and they know it.

the FCC ruling was a classic example of the pressure that we the people can put. Granted it won't work if it is only you... but when it is you and a couple million of your best friends and allies, they do pay attention.

I won't make any comment on content. I'm sure there are plenty of people to help with that.
I will suggest that you do what I do. Every time I send a letter to my Reps, I also send it as an open letter to the opinion sections of my local paper and the two other largest circulation papers in the state (who both consider my town to be within their sphere). As long as I don't go over one letter/month, I almost always get published. At the Reps office one secretary will look at it. In the three newspapers, tens of thousands will read it.
Good luck.
