Poll question: Vote for our Democratic "Patriot" of the week... |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-19-03 10:39 AM by gully
I like to use RW propaganda words in my posts ;)
Which of our Democratic Hall of Fame nominees deserves the most recognition?
I am narrowing the list down to current events due to a lack of space...
However, honorable mention goes to:
"Barbara Boxer and Russ Feingold~for consistently standing up for liberal causes."
Sen. Carl Levin~"For his consistent and steadfast opposition to the Bush Regime and it's imperialist agenda."
Pelosi~"for more guts than usual."
Kucinich~"for being a real FDR Democrat all his life."
Byrd~"for most principled long-term opposition to Bush stupidity."

And, I see no reason why we can't take OUR agenda to moveon as well.

7. Thanks, I'd like others to help keep it going |
|
it's so helpful if we recognize our accomplishments and our standing up as Democrats.
I think we'll start a new thread/poll every Friday?
Feel free to beat me to the punch!
Cheers.

9. Levin, but I'm prejudiced... |
|
I really like the guy--he's been plugging away in the senate for decades now and hasn't given up. I remember years ago working as a soundman on his first campaign ads in Detroit. He seemed like a serious, unpretentious, intelligent man who was slightly uncomfortable mouthing the necesary 30-second sound bites. I think when we were finished he said something like, "Well, I guess that's all right. You can't really say much in 30 seconds." You could tell he wasn't satisfied with that kind of politics.
I'm glad he's stuck around and kept on winning!
