He one day gets appointed to the Supreme Court as Chief Justice, provided the Democrats can get control of the Congress again.
Could you imagine??? Hey, Taft did it. :-)
Note: I did say this was fantasy. :-)

But I don't think that will happen. The perjury thing will haunt him if he tries for the Supreme Court. But I think there are other opportunities for him. Imagine if he succeeded Kofi Annan! I know, just another fantasy that won't happen, since Clinton isn't really part of the beauracy at the UN.

5. Why we non-Americans love President Clinton! |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-20-03 01:31 PM by glarius
Do you want to know why I believe President Clinton was so loved and admired by other countries? Here's my observations as a non-American. He came to my country (Canada) on several occasions and ALWAYS showed genuine respect for our government and our people. He talks proudly of his own country while abroad, but he does NOT insinuate that the United States is a model every other country should aspire to. He does not hesitate to unstintingly praise something in a foreign country that he admires, which is different from his own country. (Health care, for instance.) Besides, he has a great sense of humour and fun. When he spoke before our parliament, Prime Minister Chretien introduced him as "Bill Clinton, president of the United States...our best friend whether we like it or not!"....Clinton laughed harder than anyone....By the way...Clinton and Chretien are still good friends and occasionally golf together.....I think what is obvious to me and probably to Europeans and others is that he has a GOOD HEART... EDIT-- His wise and intelligent handling of delicate negotiations between adversary countries was well appreciated also...so superior to the cowboy "bring em on" attitude of Bush.

6. the world knows Clinton was trying to make the world a better place |
|
Clinton tried to make the world a better place - for everyone.
You may not have always agreed with Clinton's policies, BUT he was not in it for the money, nor his donors. The world's people trusted Clinton.
Bush is the complete opposite. The world does NOT trust Bush at all. The world FEARS Bush. The world sees Bush as one who is for the wealthy ONLY, at the expense of everyone else in the world.
Bush will historically be one of the most hated US Presidents worldwide EVER.
Bush currently is one of the world's most feared US President's EVER. The world currently sees Bush as the biggest THREAT to world peace, and that belief even includes our allies citizens.
